Even with all the information overload in the media circling around talk of a possible recession, the upcoming 2020 election, and more, Americans feel good about selling a house now. That\u2019s some news to get excited about!<\/p>\n<p>As the graph below shows, as of Q4 2019, 75% of people surveyed indicate they believe now is a good time to sell a home:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/skyrisere.com\/listings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/1E2B0991-A421-4EC2-BF17-67272DAE3013.jpeg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"3147\"  src=\"http:\/\/skyrisere.com\/listings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/1E2B0991-A421-4EC2-BF17-67272DAE3013.jpeg\" alt=\"Good Time to Sell\" width=\"720\" height=\"540\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3147\" srcset=\"https:\/\/skyrisere.com\/listings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/1E2B0991-A421-4EC2-BF17-67272DAE3013.jpeg 720w, https:\/\/skyrisere.com\/listings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/1E2B0991-A421-4EC2-BF17-67272DAE3013-300x225.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the case of those with a yearly salary of $100,000 or more, the results jumped even higher, coming in at an 82% positive sentiment.<\/p>\n<p>When the study divided the outcomes by region, the results still consistently showed Americans feeling good about selling:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Northeast: 71% positive\n<\/li>\n<li>Midwest: 76% positive\n<\/li>\n<li>South: 72% positive\n<\/li>\n<li>West: 81% positive\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to looking at income and region, the report also divided the results by generation, as shown in the graph below:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/skyrisere.com\/listings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/05CA2793-0AD4-403C-9C13-5E7E6C0A5D2B.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"3150\"  src=\"http:\/\/skyrisere.com\/listings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/05CA2793-0AD4-403C-9C13-5E7E6C0A5D2B.jpeg\" alt=\"Good Time to Sell by Generation\" width=\"720\" height=\"540\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/skyrisere.com\/listings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/05CA2793-0AD4-403C-9C13-5E7E6C0A5D2B.jpeg 720w, https:\/\/skyrisere.com\/listings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/05CA2793-0AD4-403C-9C13-5E7E6C0A5D2B-300x225.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As you can see, many believe that, despite everything going on in the world, it is still a good time to sell a home.<\/p>\n<p>According to NAR, the unsold inventory available today \u201csits at a  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nar.realtor\/newsroom\/existing-home-sales-climb-3-6-in-december\">3.0-month<\/a>  supply at the current sales pace,\u201d which is down from a 3.7-month supply in November. The current inventory is half of what we need for a normal or neutral  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.keepingcurrentmatters.com\/2019\/10\/14\/existing-home-sales-report-indicates-now-is-a-great-time-to-sell\/\">housing market<\/a> , which should have a 6.0-month supply of unsold inventory. <\/p>\n<p>This is good news for sellers, as Lawrence Yun, Chief Economist at NAR, says:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cHome sellers are positioned well, but prospective buyers aren\u2019t as fortunate.
